Who& Why: Will County received a grant from the U.S. EPA to study the wastewater needs for the 6 eastern township region: Green Garden, Monee, Crete, Peotone, Will, and Washington. Matching contributions were made by: Will County, the villages of Beecher and Peotone, and the Thorn Creek Sanitary District.

Will County has retained the engineering firm of Farnsworth Group to fulfill the requirements of the U.S. EPA grant. They will present their findings to public stakeholders to gauge public response and obtain local knowledge.

Currently there are separate drainage districts formed in eastern Will County. Rural areas generally have well and septic systems.

Please plan on attending to have your voice be heard and also to learn what plans the County Seat has for the rest of us in eastern Will.
